Wellll, I have not written a lot lately, I have been taken a break. I am trying to decide if I should keep blogging or not.
I have been blogging about books off and on for the past two years. The first year was fun and wonderful. I found myself enjoying the world of book blogging. I met some great people and read some awesome blogs. I was able to push my doubts about reviewing and writing aside.
Through other bloggers I found Pump up Your Book Promotions. Cheryl and Dorothy are wonderful. Through them I have discovered some great books and awesome authors. If you are interesting in reviewing books, you should check them out. Pump up Your Book Promotions Tour Host. They are always looking for good reviewers.
But as time went on, my self doubts about reviewing continued to resurface and it was becoming harder to push them back. I could tell others to go for it, but it was becoming harder for me to go for it. It was just becoming harder for me to write my thoughts because I kept questioning myself if my reviews were good enough. I am not sure what I am going to do.
The good bloggers also spend a lot of time on their blogs. Not just writing their thoughts but interacting with the people who comment. I don't have the time esp since I discovered social networking. Let me tell you playing those apps on Facebook are very addictive and time consuming. If you are on Facebook stay away form those apps.
I am not sure what I am going to do. I guess in my heart I do like it, because I don't want to give it up completely. I am still soul searching as to what I want to do, but I am guessing I will keep writing. I just won't write as often, maybe focus on book spotlights or maybe do one word reviews. I am not sure how this blog will evolve.

I have no advice for you, but I do know where you are coming from. Real life has sort of gotten in my way and I'm not accepting as many reviews anymore. I'm also stopping the reading challenges I signed up for.
I'm on Facebook, too, and I do know what you mean about the apps. They are way too addicting!
The good thing about a blog...it's your own and there is no obligation to post everyday. It's yours to handle however makes you feel comfortable. That's what I'm doing now.
I feel that way sometimes. However, then I remember how much joy I receive from reading those wonderful romance books and it's so worth it for me personally to share from my heart what I feel about a book.
I receive approximately 4 books a month from authors and the rest I purchase which cost a fortune. Unlike other bloggers I don't have a ton of authors or publishers sending books.
When I receive a comment that someone liked my review, I'm thrilled so it makes it worth wild.
So don't give up and if you have to pace yourself then do that but sharing is important.

I never felt that way. In fact, I had been on Facebook years before I started to blog. You will find the applications addictive at the beginning, but after a while, you will grow tired of it, and realize it's a waste of time. (I had been playing Farmtown & Restaurant City for a couple months but now I can care less) I had been facebooking since college... and I am actually finding blogging more fun now.
It gives me a channel to express my opinion about a book I read and it makes me want to read more books. Facebook app is a waste of time. I learnt so much just by reading. But I have to say I don't accept author's request to review their books, I only read book that I see have great potentials to inspire me and to educate me and help my life.
So don't give up blogging about books, "One can find golden houses in books, and one can find the company of the most beatiful women in books" This is an old saying in China (a thouand years or more..) and it just shows how reading is the best acitivty one should relentlessly pursue.
I am exactly where you are now except, it isnt facebook thats getting in the way, its life. Work, Family, Obligations etc. I say do not commit to reviewing but keep your blog as its yours to post as you wish.....
I just want to thank everyone for your wonderful words of support. The plan is to keep blogging, but try not to pressure myself. Write when I want and share my opinions about the books I read.
